Delightful vintage batik art piece in deep dark and light greens, orange and tan tones with touches of white, brown and black. From my personal collection, this lovely batik was purchased in Bali in 1979. The Balinese people excel in artistic excellence. Their creations are inspired by life itself; beautiful designs depicting nature as they see it everyday; quaint villages, fishermen, birds, water bodies and the like. This piece is in wonderful clean condition and would surely bea treasured Balinese collectible. There is no fading, although in the picture there is a lighter area due to the camera flash.The piece is about 22 inches by 15 inches. There are no tears or marks. It is lovely framed but would also make a very interesting (though large) pillow for display. It is sure to create conversation - a real eyecatcher. (item is not framed) |
